Our coaches are trained through the NCCP (National Coaching Certification Program) and are registered through Gymnastics Ontario, the provincial level of Gymnastics Canada.
- Head Coach - John Craig John came to Port Elgin to coach Trampoline in 1999 and has been the Head Coach in the Club since then. He is certified Level 3 in Trampoline, Level 2 in Men's Artistic Gymnastics and Level 2 in Women's Artistic Gymnastics. He is also a Level 1 Trampoline Judge, and is a FIG (Federation Internationale du Gymnastique) Level 1 Acrobatics coach with training from Cirque du Soleil. As a Foundations and Competition Level Learning Facilitator, John conducts coaching courses across Ontario to teach young coaches the techniques of gymnastics, trampoline and acrobatics.
John competed through the Kingston Aeros Trampoline Club and in 1999 was Provincial Champion in the Novice National level. He has travelled to Quebec, British Columbia, Saskatchewan, and throughout Ontario competing trampoline. His best result was coming 5th at Nationals in 2002.
- Coach - Patty Bowman Patty has been coaching in Port Elgin for over 25 years. Patty started a gymnastics program through the town in the 1980s and subsequently continued with the program as it developed into an entity separate from the town. When the building at 1233 MacKenzie road was built, she continued to coach there and continues to coach at the Club to this day. Patty is certified Level 2 Women's Artistic Gymnastics and has taken her Level 3 Women's Technical and Theory courses. She is also a Level 2 Trampoline coach.
- Recreational Coaches - The Club has a roster of over 20 active coaches who coach a variety of Kinder, Rollers, Springers, Flippers, Trampoline and other classes, parties and camps.
